RISTORANTE REVIEW Another great find on our holiday to Lake Como! Home cooked family food with lovely service and people. I had the sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection, the pork steaks were delicious as was the sauce that my friend had, the lasagne too and my wife had the “too die for” ravioli in sage and butter. Finished off with delicious tiramisu. Definitely with a visit in Menaggio.
This review is for the restaurant. We ate here on our last night in Menaggio. It is a hidden gem. Food was delicious and the service was homely and delightful. Highly recommend
A delightful little hotel, which is located above the restaurant. Top location, all clean, towels changed daily. The owner was very kind, I would definitely recommend to eat in the restaurant downstairs. And the view of the lake is a fairy tale. I had a wonderful time, thank you!

Wanted to share a quick review that the food at Il Vapore is fantastic. It was one of the best meals we had in Menaggio and also the most affordable. We are vegan/plant-based eaters and had plenty of options in great tomato-based pasta dishes with veggies, delicious veggie sides, fantastic minestrone soup. The serving sizes are great as well. The service can be a bit slow just given that its a lean operation, so recommend getting their early and/or ordering all dishes at once. While we didnt love the house white wine we ordered, the prices on the house wine were so reasonable it was not a big deal. Lots of locals eat here and I understand why!
This super cute family run restaurant is worth it! We ate the trout with almond and homemade ravioli and wow the fish was thin but cooked to perfection. We are both chefs and appreciate fish cooked properly. We finished our night with tirimisu and it was the perfect ending. Highly recommend making a reservation as we saw many groups of people being turned away.
This is for the RESTAURANT. We were not staying at the hotel. A small family run, casual and cozy place to eat. Patio and inside. One of the best fish (white fish in butter with sage) dishes that I have ever had. Simple and delicious. Great service as well. Be sure to make a reservation as they are usually fully booked.
